Working Together for Families and Children
The Raising Queensland campaign is a coalition of 26 community service sector organisations who are raising the standards for Queensland families and children, calling on the government to ensure every family has what they need to help their children thrive.
Located in Goondiwindi to Longreach to Cooktown and everywhere in between, these organisations offer support to families through housing, education, counselling services and more. Throughout the past few years, they've seen a marked increase in the number of families requiring support.
As campaign partners, they're calling for a coordinated, whole-of-government Families Strategy to ensure every family in Queensland has what they need to help their children thrive.
The timing is right – for the first time ever, Queensland has a Families Minister in Cabinet and support services across the state are united behind this Raising Queensland agenda. Together, we have a real opportunity to lift the standard for every child, every family, in every community.
